These high end mantel clocks are so hard to come by- they very rarely come up for sale. We are very proud to offer you this museum piece that dates from the fourth quarter of the 19th C. (c. 1890). This fantastic clock came out a very important estate in the South of Germany near Munich.The style of the fantastic is Black Forest and it looks great!The clock is made of the finest oak and the carvings with apples ,pears and flowers are gorgeous.On the sides there are two cherubs with dolphin tails.The dimensions of the clock are Height 27 Inches,Width 16 Inches and Depth 5,5 Inches.The clock has an eight day clock work and it chimes the half and full hours on an old gong.The beautiful bronze dial with the roman numerals looks fantastic !There is a bent glass before the dial.The bronze movement is stamped on the back with "B.D.-387" and probably made by Bernd Daubacher the famous German clock maker.No matter where you hang this clock everyone will be begging to know where you got such an outstanding clock and where they can get one like it! But believe me that will be difficult! It is getting extremely hard to find these high end antique Black Forest wall clocks in this perfect condition!
